I have two gender-justice points regarding British royalty, the world, and a niche area in India (and possibly beyond within that framework):
1. While Elizabeth was and is the monarch, just because she's a woman, her husband was not given the title of King.
In my view, he was the king and spouse/consort, and she, the queen and monarch.
2. According to the present law there, if the eldest recognized child of the monarch is a woman, she becomes the next monarch.
To finally achieve the proper global balance on this, one needs to take this stand: The recognized female offspring of the monarch should be the next monarch, even if there are elder and/or younger male recognized offspring.
I'm not comparing with India.
This is global.
I don't necessarily support constitutional monarchies, but when they do exist, or in the event that they would exist for the planet, this ought to be taken into consideration.
Aspects of all this still applies to succession and property law in parts of India, and has a wider social impact. How can this not be urgent, when daily decisions would be impacted by related rulings?
Also factor in Transgender and Adopteds into this.
