IMPORTANT political preview (INC party, Andhra Pradesh)
anybody who knows my work since the past century knows that i WILL NOT join state-level politics, lofty as state-level politics might be.
if i had been interested in state politics, i could have been the CM of Andhra in 2010 if not earlier.
In 2020, i reluctantly obliged my well-meaning (if slightly uninformed colleagues), and accepted the post of state vice president (11 were appointed thereafter).
after one entire Covid-dominated year of attending meetings via Zoom, giving written advice on policy matters via email, and participating in online campaigns, plus telephonic advice, i look forward to relinquishing this honorary post.
the formal announcement, i plan to make on the 22nd of March, at the next scheduled Zoom meeting for VPs and other relevant people of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee.
i will, obviously, continue my political work on my own terms, esp. since it was not only I who lost an election in 2019, and thus do not think i should be bound to accept positions much lower than those that befit the impact of my overall work over the years.
all state leaders should rest assured that i am not interested in state-level politics.
all central leaders should know that i would be interested in Parliamentary seats, and ought to have been made a national Gen. Secy. more than ten years ago. I am not interested in being the party president, ever.
