Rumble in the Jungle (EARTH)

For the blog today (13th Feb. 2018)
Hello everybody!
This is a blogpost to tune you into the tone and tenor of my forthcoming non-fiction book, EARTH REPUBLIC, that sometimes discusses some of the kinds of topics that my blog posts here have dealt with over the years.
As readers of this blog might have noticed, posts here have often sounded like circulars, memos, guidelines, and other terse and business-like documents in general, meant for implementers at all levels to comprehend.
Quite different from my poetry that’s on junglessence (another unpublicised set of writings where one began with a -disclosed- pen-name, as it were: quill-o-the-wisp). I believe there was a restaurant somewhere by that name (if i’m not mistaken, after the launch of the poems, such as they are). But one demurs again! Unnecessarily. Poems.
Earth Republic: Chatter from the Capital’s Cauldron (and Beyond) is scheduled to be launched later this month, and the book reveal video will certainly make it here!
Not to be confused with the work of fiction that one put together in 2005, and that was published late last year: Deep Wood Trance (Published by Writers Workshop, Calcutta. Limited edition artefact).
In the meantime, there seems to be lots to write about (and, of course, to do, which is what puts writing schedules into prioritised perspective). So while a second edition of Earth Republic might have to wait and stagger, publishing on the blog is always a good option.
While the Israel-Palestine thing, and the Russia-Syria-Iran conundrum, and the China-and-everyone else all-round action, and the whats-going-on-in-Africa, what-can-India-do-to-help situations are all tossed around, hopefully not like a plane crashing into snow, with everyone on board apparently promptly expiring, let’s not forget that Cape Town’s going to run out of water. How does that translate to nuclear safety? Any covert installations of any kind that need water for continued safety? I’m sure there’s a Diz-management authority that’s looking into it. But what are international environmental lawyers there for, if not to sometimes also ask these redundant questions. Esp when The Donald is in charge of many things.
Which brings me to the forthcoming polls. Out there, and definitely here as well. India. (Book-writing ‘n all is all very well, but politics is the priority, mah friends).
A part of The Rest of the World seems to be doing quite well (or interestingly, in any event), in the department of delivering to the planet, refreshingly new-fangled world leaders. Point to ponder over, and get back to, at a future date.
To get back to what I was saying about yogic feats and snow-survival…I think our century and planet are well into a stage of attainment and advancement where, until and unless you have confirmed deaths, it is highly ridiculous to announce all 71 people on board that fight as being dead. Not a word of conjecture. Or have I missed something?
Another reminder of how the globe needs to keep pace with the fast-altering roles of traditionally understood probability and possibility, and the varying degrees of the exertion of human will (read: power-play), while judging situations such as these.
P.S. This post is entitled Rumble in the Jungle partly because one had, as a child, written out a new set of lyrics for the number In Zaire...the lyrics that i wrote were about an aircrash of the 1980s, and i'd titled the number Air Disaster!
